NORD by Biagio was created through a collaboration between designer Line Biagio Solvang and investor and industry veteran Ola Mæle.

Line Biagio Solvang is the designer and founder of the brand. She was born in Finnmark and raised in Nordland, with roots in both Sámi culture and Northern Norway. Her upbringing in the north, close to nature and strong craft traditions, has been an important inspiration in her work. Over several years in the fashion industry, she has worked with design, product development, and production for several Norwegian brands and influencer-based clothing brands.

The design, also known as "Drømmeblusen" (The Dream Blouse), which took Norway by storm and went viral in 2025, is back with its originator, further developed with thoughtful material choices and an even stronger sense of quality, available exclusively through NORD by Biagio.

With NORD by Biagio, she wanted to build something more lasting. A brand that combines Nordic nature, Sámi inspiration, and modern design in garments made to last. Industry veteran and partner Ola Mæle has decades of experience as an entrepreneur and investor. Already in the 1980s, he helped build retail and fashion concepts such as Poco Loco and Bik Bok, during a period when the Norwegian fashion and retail industry was developing rapidly. Since then, he has been involved in the establishment, development, and investment in a number of companies across various industries.

Together, they are developing NORD by Biagio with a clear vision: to build a brand that combines design, identity, and history from the north with long-term entrepreneurship and international ambitions. The first launch is a pre-May 17th collection, inspired by Norwegian traditions, festive attire, and Nordic and Sámi-inspired elegance. At the same time, this is just the beginning.

Moving forward, NORD will be developed with new collections, materials, and designs, all with the same goal: to create clothes with identity, quality, and durability. To reduce overproduction, the garments are produced in limited editions, often through pre-orders. In this way, clothes are produced in the right quantities, based on what customers actually want – a more responsible way to create fashion.

The brand does not seek to follow the pace of fast fashion. It seeks to offer a more lasting alternative.

NORD produces in limited editions, often through pre-order. The production model has been chosen deliberately: volume should follow actual demand.

This approach contributes to:

Over several years in the fashion industry, she has worked with design, product development, and production for several Norwegian brands and influencer-based clothing brands. With NORD by Biagio, she wants to build a brand with a clear identity – where Nordic nature, Sámi inspiration, and timeless design meet in garments made to last.

Proven experience with impact

Before establishing NORD, Line Biagio was behind the development and production of collections that achieved significant sales and wide visibility in the Norwegian market, both through her own initiatives and collaborations with well-known profiles such as Careless (Sara Emilie), By Lien (Therese Lien), Lyngwear (Sandra Lyng), and now Oyster Atelier by Karianne Spetalen.

Her work has provided in-depth experience with:

Investor and partner
Ola Mæle

Ola Mæle is an investor and partner in NORD by Biagio. He is a Norwegian entrepreneur and investor with decades of experience in establishing and developing companies and brands.

Already in the 1980s, he was involved in building retail and fashion concepts such as Bik Bok and Poco Loco, during a period when the Norwegian fashion and retail industry was developing rapidly. Since then, he has been involved in the establishment and development of a number of companies and investments across various industries.

With his experience in entrepreneurship, business development, and brand building, he contributes to further developing NORD by Biagio as an international brand with clear ambitions.
