The Story Behind the Original - From Drømmeblusen to the Northern Lights Blouse

You may have seen it before...

The viral Drømmeblusen (The Dream Blouse), which took Norway by storm in 2025, started as a design I developed and created in 2023.

The idea was simple, yet ambitious:

to create one blouse that works just as naturally for everyday wear as for parties, just as fitting with jeans as with traditional bunad or festive attire.

A garment you can dress up or down.
A garment that lasts.

Inspiration for the blouse

The design is inspired by Nordic nature and incorporates elements from both Ukrainian and Sami embroidery traditions, translated into a modern, timeless expression.

The expression, cut, and embroidery are part of my signature, and the design is now protected by patent, both as a blouse and a dress.

The design is lent to Lyngwear

The blouse was later licensed in a collaboration with Sandra Lyng Haugen in 2025, where it received significant media attention and reached a wide audience.

The collaboration has now ended. The original is now back with its creator.

From the Dream Blouse to the NORDlys Blouse

The Drømmeblusen is relaunched under its proper name: NORDlysblusen - Northern Light Blouse

It is also relaunched with a clearer direction.

The materials are now carefully selected to be soft, breathable, and comfortable against the skin. Plastic-based materials have been discarded in favor of more natural and skin-friendly qualities. The fit has been further developed to provide a more refined drape and a better feel on the body; it should fit correctly without being tight, and follow the body in a natural way.
